PSP stuck when exiting game using home button

Don't know why, but everytime I try to exit a game using the home button and then choosing to exit to XMB, the psp freezes on the please wait screen, cant turn off unless I take the battery out. Running on 3.90 m33-2, suggestions for fixing?

nope, only happened after i upgraded to 3.90. Was working fine at 3.71

My psp seems to crash when I exit out of homebrew like pimpstreamer. It happened on 3.90 and 4.01 m33 using a slim. My phat never did that.

updated to 4.01 and seems to have fixed it now
