Can?t distribute cable picture throughout House ?Cable Connection Help?

Hi all I have an iTgate TGM220 and I?m trying to distribute the cable picture throughout the house and need some cable connection advice. The UHF Ariel signal is week in my area and I have a 2 way booster down stairs at lounge TV. My DVD player is pretty basic that I got for playing divx and it has 1 scart socket but no RF connections. I have a coax cable (male to male) going upstairs from lounge TV booster to the loft going into an amplifier for the 3 upstairs televisions. I have tried the cable?s all ways but I can not get the cable picture upstairs. I know it can be done as I used to get cable upstairs when I had a Srarview and VCR recorder but I can?t get it with the TGM220.
Any help on this would be much appreciated
