Hi guys. I've read and searched through a lot of the board trying to find any answer for my situation. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. On a recent trip to Asia, I bought a slim PS2 which was pre-modded and I don't know which mod chip I have. I do know that it has to be manually put into PS2 or PS1/Movie mode using the reset button. It also has a stealth mode (hold reset for 2 seconds). My problem is when it is in PS1/Movie mode, it is not region free, and it is a Japanese PS2. About half of my movies are region 1, so I can't just back them all up and re-burn all of them.

What can I use to play my movies region free? Is there a memory card exploit or a swap disc (not AR Max - tried it and it does not work) that I can use?

I´m not really sure but maybe the simple media system work`s @ version 2.8 it play`s avi and mpg but i`m not sure if it play`s dvd`s try it out
