TVersity Video Playback Skips

I converted an MKV video file to VOB so the PS3 player could play it through TVersity but the playback is jerky (skippy)and is not watchable...anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Use WIndows Media Player 11 instead of Tversity...worked better for me at least.

I had Terminator 2 in 1080p streamed just fine using WMP11 and it was all skippy when I used Tversity.

I didnt know windowsmediaplayer was capable of being a media server...How do you do that

well you download wmp11 if you dont already have it. You can stream any media you have under whatever folder that wmp is currently using for its playlist.

Turn ur Ps3 on and have it connected to the internet(using wifi), click library in wmp, drop down to sharing, then a menu should show up with PS3 available for selection. Click on the Ps3 and then enable sharing.

Go to the video section and search for network...you should see ur PC with vids you can watch and even copy to ur PS3.

Same with music just go in the music section and do the same. Same with pics...

The PS3 is running and online but is not available for selection in WMP sharing menu...

The PS3 has to be connected wirelessly to your router...

It wont actually show up as PS3 but instead it will show up as unknown device. WMP only recognizes xbox 360 but for PS3 its unknown.

It is because Tversity recognized it fine.. I think Norton might have blocked it cuz a popup window from Norton said something about WMP trying to listen for connections. So I'm trying to find out how to allow it within Norton. Im pretty sure its not the Windows FireWall because WMP media server is listed in the exceptions
