I'm currently following the textbook pdf for modding. I have the VIA pci card installed already and it is recognized in the IPREP software. I loaded everything to the usb drive and made it bootable and by the I'm flashin a Benq Philips not the Lite on drive. I connected the sata cable to the pci card using the connection in the back of the pci card. I have the cable connected to the xbox 360. As it says in the tut, I have my 360 turned off. I power on my pc and boot from the usb drive. I enter yes and now I'm at the part where you read/backup the firmware. I type in dBen ******* *****. Now I'm about send the MKT. So I power on the 360 and it changes to 0xD1 I wait 2 secs power off then power back on 0xD1 does not change or read the firmware as the tut says so I waited 2 seconds and powered the 360 off then waited 2 seconds and powered on still did not read the firmware it just kind hangs there. So I turned off my 360 and restarted my computer and booted from the usb drive again. I followed the tut again and now I got 0x80 and it just stays there. What am I doing wrong? And why can't I get it to read the firmware? I tried to start from the beginning and even reformatted my usb drive and I still can't get it to read/flash. I'm sorry its long. Please help and thanks in advance.

use the sata slot at the very front of the card...closest to the front of your pc; that is channel one, so use it and it should work for you

use the one on the 'skinny' end. opposite of the 'outside' of the card. in other words, the the slot closest to the 'add to cart' button. that should be channel one.

there should be a little writing on the card that says chan 1, chan 2, etc. at least on my card there is.
