So I downloaded this hd movie in .mkv format and read the guide "Convert MKV to MP4 for Xbox 360 (Easiest Method)" the one with GOTsent
So i got an mp4 video with the size of 4,215,012KB or 4.01GB and I burned it to a dvd+rw (in case it didn't work i can erase disc) and popped it in the 360 drive. It saw the file but couldnt play it. Was wondering does it have to be 4GB exactly cuz i heard thts the limit? and was wondering will this 4.01gb MP4 will work on a ps3 or does that have a limit too. I would also like if someone told me an easier guide. I just want to fit the HD movie to a dvd-r and be able to play it on a 360 and ps3? I own a 360 but my friends has a ps3 so i can go over and watch it there.

Bump, I converted another movie and it split 2 parts cuz of the 4gb limit on the 360 but only part 2 of the movie works.

i use encode 360 and stream to xbox. you can make 720p on reg dvdr but dual layer for 1080. if using hd to connect to xbox split in less than 4gb than it will see it. no quality loss with wmv but very time consuming but nice collection\
