Help! Been burning dvds with ripit4me, dvd decrypter and dvd shrink for a while and have never run into this problem before.

The ripping and burning process is successful however when I try to play my dvd in my dvd player it jumps the menu to about halfway into the movie or it jumps to the end credits altogether.

However when I play the same dvd in my dvd rom on my computer it plays fine.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

If you changed disk brand or are burning at too high speed it may be the problem.
Either reduce speed to 4x (or half the maximum on the package label) or switch to a known-to-be-consistently-reliable brand (Verbatim).

I had this problem with printable Ritek disks that would be ok on the PC that burned them, but fell apart on a standalone player.

Use only good quality blank media. Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Sony.

Keep your burn speed between 6x and 8x max.

If using +R's make sure to booktype to DVD-ROM

Thanks for the replies. Will try a lower burning speed/different media. Also my other question is can I now use the burnt dvds which work fine on my pc to try to burn another copy of them at a lower speed and on different media?

Why would you want to make a 1 to 1 copy of a dvd that doesn't work properly?

Personally, i would re-rip (unless you saved the rip on your HDD) and re-do the entire process for the best quality backup.
