Does the new Wii update 3.3 stop your modchip from working.

I have a wiikey installed in my wii and I i would like to know the new Wii update 3.3 stop you from playing burned games. I installed the new Wii update 3.3 because it was required in order to play a newer wii game. Now a recently burned wii games I tried to play works and is read by the wii until I actually start the wii game (press start). After I press start there id nothing but a blank (black) screen. Is this because of the new wii update 3.3 or is it just a coincidence. But I can still play the burned games I got with my installed wiikey purchase perfectly. So if the new wii update 3.3 does stop your modchip (wiikey) to stop working then is there any way to undo the update 3.3? If there is please tell me. Thank you.

Also there are no games that required you to upgrade to 3.3 so that part of your post is incorrect.

Yes but many people are saying the new nintendo wii firmware 3.3 doesn't affect your modchip or your back ups, but there are also many others that said it does. I don't know what to believe. Does anyone actually know if the new firware 3.3 does affect your modchip and back ups? And if it does is there anyway to downgrade your wii?

This is what he said:

I reset the wii and my settings still show I have version 3.3U, but when I try to do a test connection through the menu system, it asked if I want to run an update? Is it safe to update or no? Is that the PAL version lastest update now that I accidently update using the TOP SPIN 3 disc?

I repeat, what part of that means that top spin 3 has the 3.3 update on it. He was already at 3.3u, its meaningless.
No games have the 3.3 update.

Lol trust me, Top spin 3 does ask you to perform the update. The same thing happened to the other guy too, "I then took a different copy of Top Spin 3 PAL version and it asked me to update. I hesistantly click accept and it was trying to update". So what happened to me was when I put my disk in its showed a picture of the wii and under said nintendo wii udpdate (in the game channel). It wouldn't let me play the game until i performed the update 3.3. So I pressed ok and acceted because I really wanted to play the game (I like tennis xD). After the update everything was ok. The wii now allowed me to play Top Spin 3 and other boot games I got with my wiikey purchase like mario kart, bleach (U.S.A.), and resident evil. But now I been getting problems with playing newer games that I have burned. I read in some other threads that you shouldn't use wii brick blocker what you have the update 3.3 and stuff like that. Anyone know anything about this?

Just because it asks you to perform an update doesn't mean it has the 3.3 update. You were already at 3.3 so thats irrelevant. It will attempt to run the update anyway, realise you are on a higher firmware and continue.
In his case it was an out of region disk which is why it added duplicate channels.

There is no game with the 3.3U/E/J update on it.
He even said himself that he updated to 3.3U first before performing the PAL update. The reason the PAL version requested the upgrade was probably due to PAL News/Weather channels not being installed on his NTSC(U) Wii. He said himself that he now has duplicated channels.
There could be plenty of reasons why your disc are not working properly.
Low Quality Media.
Bad Burner.
Incompatible Burning Software.
Bad ISO (which I doubt since your having issues with all new games).
incompatible Import game disc.
Region override is not enabled if playing Import Games.
The only effect 3.3U firmware would have on backups is if you patched the game ISO with an application that uses a Trucha Exploit.
Steps to try making a successful backup...
Update Modchip to latest stable firmware.
Use IMGBurn at 4x speed.
Use Quality media like Verbatim/Tayio Yuden.
Do not use Trucha exploits on ISO (if you do you can boot them with GeckoOS).
Make sure Burner is properly working and set up properly.
WiiBrickBlocker is not effected by the 3.3U/E/J update. All of my Imported games are WiiBrickBlocked (even ones that I burned yeasterday) and they all work perfectly fine with 3.3U firmware.
I as well read that RegionFrii is not effected if you just region free the game disc to anthoer region. If you have to force the Language then that uses the Trucha Exploit and will be effected by the 3.3U/E/J update.

Yes I did google it and donwloaded it (well i think it is the right file) but i have no idea how to install and use it on my wii. I did some research on the Gecko OS and how to install and use it but I found nothing usefull. If anyone knows anyone please reply.
