Please help! I have burned 2 discs using Verbatim DataLife DVD-R. Pirates of the Carribean and a Hindi Movie. Both seemed to burn fine. Both give me pixelation / freezing at around Chapter 13 or 14. Seems to be around 2/3 of the way thru the movie. Had to strip off all extras and menus for P-O-Carribean to get movie to fit.

Any help would be great. Using Dvd Shrink & Nero 6 also have a LiteOn DVD writer (LDW-411S) DVD+-R, +-RW.

You don't say what your burn speed is, try 2X or even 1X and see what happens. Also try different media. Discs burn from the inside out so as they have farther to track towards the end of the movie they are more prone to problems on the back half of the movie.

Used 2x. Tried Maxell (recommended by LiteOn) also upgraded firmware. Now my problem is Maxell worked great but does not play on my JVC XV-F85 player. It works on an older Sony I have. Contacted JVC and they're clueless - basically want me to buy a new one.

Is RITEK media the answer to playing as well as burning correctly? Or is there another media brand that burns as well plays in most players.

slickpdp,

Ritek and Verbatim are both good choices :-)
