I'm having trouble installing emulators onto my xbox. I tried surreal64 I know that ones tricky (cannot find surreal.ini anywhere) I also tried to install mameox, I read that you just unpack it and ftp it over. I do this but it just acts like a folder and I sift through all the files, my fceultra actully looks like a controller and will load nes games..

You can always try #xbins for the surreal.ini
Also, try going to File Explorer, and then loading the default.xbe in the folder, that should load the emulator.

Since were on the subject of emulators and such, why not try using AID? It's packed full of emulators, apps, dashboards, and nice tools.
Give it a go!

(The emulators on there will work right off the disk, you might have to edit the .ini file to set where to load the ROM's from).

Seriously either use the search or you can just check the last posted thread name when scaning through the forums.

This should solve all of your problems if you just read and follow the directions.

Sorry to drive you nuts, maybe I got a bad download because there is no surreal.ini or surreal64.ini file anywhere. I'll try downloading another file, btw I did get neogeo and snes to work, surreal is just tricky I guess, I'll follow your instructions carefully with my new download obiwan!

Yeah just download my emulator pack. You probably got the source code for surreal.

This is what you should see


If you can't see surreal.ini in that pic just turn off your computer. :D

Thanks for all the help guys! I got everything to work... Now, 007 goldeneye plays bad! real choppy, when surreal asks which to launch with 1964, pj64, ultrahle which should I pick? pj64 is for computer right? then which video plugin is best? Rice 5.3, 5.6, 6.11 not sure but I pick ultra then rice 6.11...

I know that you have to turn the sensitivity all the way up to 100 if you're going to actually try to play the game. Just mess around with it and i'm sure u can get it to work halfway decent. I've beat the game playing it on the xbox.
