I found a link to download HDLoader from sksapps, but they list a whole bunch of different versions. I cannot tell which one I should use.
I currentlky have a modded PS2 with a HDD, and I use HDLoader to put the games onto the HDD. But HDLoader is on a memory card and I would rather just boot from the drive in case my memory card fries (or gets filled, its only 8mb big).

Well, it's wise to use the latest version, 0.8c, as it has the highest compatibility and number of modes.

Your memory card won't fry. If anything, it could possibly get corrupted if you're extremely reckless. And even if this would happen, you would lose the ability to boot the exploit data so you'd have to start from scratch anyways...[if you are using the exploit...what do you mean by modded?]
If it gets filled, merely back up older saves to a partition on your hard drive using ulaunchElf's psuCopy and psuPaste. Or rather, put the actual Hdloader elf on the hard drive to save space. There are nearly infinite configurations for you to manage your data - you just have to be creative.
