I have a slim with custom firmware 3.90 m33 It was working fine my son was watching a movie, and he sat it down when he came back the screen was black you could hear sound but that was all. I restarted it but the only thing it would do is the green light comes on you can hear the umd spin, and you can hear music.

I put in a pandora battery and memory stick and still nothing shows up on the screen.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

That couldn't happen, because if it didn't fall down, then there wouldn't be no damage.There is no other answer to your question if we don't know what happened to your PSP when your son was gone.
