Is the Sony STR-DG520 at LEAST as good as the aging STR-DE985? Help!

Greets,

I know its an odd question for a higher end forum, but I have been beating myself up over receivers forever. I have very low needs (just really need to power 5.1, and have NO interest in BluRay or Xbox or Playstation).

I currently have a Sony STR-DE985 and need a second receiver for another room. I was planning on moving the 985 to the other room (which still has a CRT) and putting the new receiver in its place (LCD). I have been looking at the Sony ES5300, the announcements of the Sony ES4400, etc. They all look great. But they are all probably overkill for me and are either very expensive, not yet released, or buggy as all get out.

My question is this: Does anyone KNOW if the STR-DG520 (which seems to be the bottom of the line 5.1 Sony Receiver but does have 2 HDMI inputs) is at least as good as the STR-DE985 as far as functions and decoding?
