When I play video files on my 40GB PS3, the output is zoomed in a bit so it's as if it's cropped. Changing the 'screen mode' doesn't fix it, as the 'original' mode just zooms it out like crazy, so there's big black bars on all 4 sides.

My tv outputs at up to 1080i. I've tried video playback with the PS3 outputting at 1080i, 720p, and 480p and it none of them fix the problem.

I've tried both SD and 720p files, both have the same problem.

Can someone help me with this please? It's pretty frustrating.
