ok here is the problem, i had a hitachi 47 in my 360 it stopped working for some reason and i figured i would replace it.(by the way it was flashed) i got another one on ebay (0047) and was getting it put in. well the guy who was putting it in said he bricked it because he didn't have the right key so he ordered another one. well the one he ordered was a 78. my question is what would be the way to go about putting that one in my 360. i have a 360usb kit and i know how to do some flashing. any help would be great.

just flash the new drive with your old drives key and all will be good.

ok now i dont think i have the original key and my first drive wont show up on my pc. i have ixtreme 1.4 and i heard that it has orginal keys for the 47 on it? if it does will that work and i might be able to pull a key off a friends xbox that was modded will that work?(his drive doesn't work for some reason won't read anything.)

your friends key will not work for you, it has to be from YOUR drive and only YOUR drive.

ok for some reason my drive won't show up now in mode b. how will i know if a drive is bricked? and i was trying to flash my old drives key to my new 78 but i don't know if i did it right? i was told my second drive i got (0047) was bricked but if i can find out or do anything with it i will. i also i have a friend who gave me his xbox with a 59 dvd in it but it won't read anything so i might try that. any help i would be thankful for.
