PSP Won't Charge - No Lights

I just got my PSP yesterday, and I used it for an hour or two when it told me my battery was running low. I turned it off, and connected it to the AC Adapter, which was connected to an outlet.

This morning, I went to turn it on, and there was nothing. No backlight, no green light, nothing. I plugged it into the outlet again, when I noticed that the orange light that indicates charge did not turn on. I tried removing the battery while leaving it hooked up to the AC Adapter, and there still was no light.

So nothing seems to be working. Did I end up breaking my new PSP somehow, or is it an issue with the power adapter? Could I have short-circuited it?

you probably fried the thing...was there any power surges? my suggestion now is that if you got warranty from the store or Sony..go back and trade for a new one!
