Erasing DVD+RW and getting "illegal disc" message

Device: LG GSA-4040B Media: Memorex DVD+RW 4.7GB 120 min. Software: Nero 6 Ultra Edition. I wrote data to DVD+RW media using Pinnacle Studio 8. Now that I want to erase that data from the media, Nero gives me "illegal disc" error. Never seen that message before. Other than that, DVD-R's are working fine. What can I do?

Hi Elmansa

Found your posting re "illegal disc" by searching with Google. I have the same problem. Not very impressed with this forum - can't see any help on how to see the replies you got - if any ? Could you please reply with details of the solution or how to find the replies on this site ?

K here's the deal!

I was able to get rid of the error message by updated the version I had. Just go to Nero.com/us/nero6-ultraedition.php" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.Nero.com/us/nero6-ultraedition.php and download the latest version. There should be 3 files to download. After installing all the files, you wont get the error anymore. Good Luck!
