Cannot copy a DVD using Nero 8!

Hi, i'm trying to copy a dvd i made a while back. i put the dvd in and click copy disk, that works fine untill it says ''insert a blank DVD+R/RW''
i put in a blank DVD+R and it still says the same thing ''insert a blank DVD+R/RW''

Looks like you're trying to burn a +R disc in a _R burner, incompatible!
Did you try a different disc? Make sure it's a -R/RW disc.

Looks like you're trying to burn a +R disc in a _R burner, incompatible!
Did you try a different disc? Make sure it's a -R/RW disc.
The disk i'm copying from is a DVD-R and i'm trying to copy it to a DVD+R.
Thing is i've been doing it for years from this burner, it's burnt loads of +R disks in the past, just not letting me copy it today..
Any other way i can sort this? like save the whole DVD to the computer and then re-burn it? (I tried copyin and pasting it all from the folder but it doesn't let me) or is copying it to a -R disk the only way to solve this problem?

Your drive is capable of burning both + an-! How old is the drive? It may be going south. Do you have a -R disc to see if it's the program(Nero) that's at fault. I can't find the new firmware for your drive which is HR02 that you are using now. When was last time you upgraded firmware? Have you changed to newer discs? The drive may be incapable of recognizing them without a FW upgrade.

I don't have a -R disk, but i guess i could get one, soon.
I haven't ever upgraded firmware, i actually don't even know what that is. lol.

That's probably your problem(new discs) and your burner is not recognizing them.Firmware is the software on your burner that tells it what to do with the inserted discs. Google the firmware page and look for your drive and check to see if there is a new firmware. How old is the drive????

Your burner ID is in the log above. Why do you have so many Nero Serial Numbers??? Are you using cracked software?

The drive is GSA-4082N and FW is HR02. Google the drive number and find the latest firmware. you got to do some of the work yourself. then post the link back here.
