Hi all. Ive just been looking on the web to see if there was anyway of changing my dashboard on my 360 like you could on the old xbox. I found this file $Systemupdate_Fall07 to put on a disk and install from disk, will this overwrite my ixtreme1.6 so i cant play my backed up games?

Well Microsoft just revealed a whole new dashboard interface at E3.
It looks amazing, so wait for that

Yeh sorry. its 1.6xtreme.lol. Have just been told this is a really old firmware, is it easy to update?...Rudeboi thanks for that will keep my eyes and ears open, oh yeh one more thing will it be to download from xbl coz i dont have that...

Ok, you got me scared for a moment.

Updating is as easy as flashing the first time. If you flashed on yore own you´ll have no problem updating, it´s the same procedure. You flash back to original than flash to ixtreme 1.4.

Didnt think there was an ixtreme 1.6, also is there any point in me upgrading my system if all is working fine. I mean is it going to change anything ie. will my system run quiter or games play better coz everything works great.

ixtreme 1.4 is the latest as far as I know. It was my typo now. Just corrected it.

Upgrading only to be safer on Live. If you don´t care and everything else is working fine than don´t worry about it.
