wiikey update disk test - safe or not?

hi, I want to ask if you it is safe to test if I have a wiikwy using the wiikey update disk. I have an ntscj ssmb update wii (3.1).

Yes it is safe to try to update using update disc but that still might not answer your question of having a Wiikey or not.

The most reliable way to tell what modchip you have is by opening up the Wii and checking yourself. Or ask the provider what Modchip they installed.

Still gets me how users can buy a Wii with Modchip and not know what Modchip it has.
