i don't mean to go and upset anyone so bare with me, i've searched reluctently for how to go about flashing and updating xbox 360 and i strayed away all i could by posting "help noob" posts and i figured it all out i just need to buy a chipset and im flashing mine so first thanks to all the people who have made good clarification towards any post and tutorials, it helped alot
nowwww this question maybe be answered very fast haha
i brought up today at my friends i am going to flash my 360 when i get the money for the VIA and dvds "so i will probably be banned very soon" and all of them replied if you use two HD's one for live and one for backed up game play you wont get banned

and i told them "i thought they ban the console, not the HD?" and they didnt agree, but they dont know anything about it so no need to bash haha
basically i was curious if the chance of being banned at least is lesser, not that theres any way to answer..man this is a counter productive question
sorry
and thanks

When you get banned MS keeps a log of your console,so switching harddrives doesn't fix it.The chances of getting banned will be the same, because most of the time it is the way a game image is created that can get a person banned. If the game you are backing up isn't stealth patched right your chances of getting banned are pretty high.It is recommended that you check to make sure your game images are patched correctly. If online is something you can't do without and you want a hacked xbox but your worried about being banned. The best thing to do is save up and get another 360.You can play online all day with an unmodded 360 and use the other one for the firmware hack. The harddrive doesn't have anything to do with the bans, but using bad images or MS checking for modchips located on a system sometimes ends up banning people.I think MS will update the security of the system probably in the future,so using hacks and modchips aren't 100% safe for online gaming. Here are my thoughts on why its not the harddrive as well.If it was the harddrive then why did early versions of NME modchips end up with bans. The thing is MS knows the location of the firmware hacks, but they can't find a way to tell the difference between original and hacked firmware yet.Another thing that comes to my mind is the new Lite-On drives not using the TSOP chip, but rather a Rom chip so MS knows the location of the hacks.
