Toy guns,Should they be banned?
i have two younger brothers and playing with toy
guns is just a boy thing!me and all of my brothers have been playing with plastic firearms since we were little, and now I want to buy
some toy guns for them , Just like product site from HongKong:

but I was so surprised and astonished at their talk at the Capital that they were going to ban toy guns, because they look too much like real guns. One store in my area has already pulled the toy guns off the shelves. The police are saying that it is hard for people and for the cops to tell the difference if a car is just driving by, etc?
why they do this???
Do you think they should be banned?
How about violence on TV, and video games, how do you think it is impacting children?

NO!! This... is... SPARTA!!!

...

sorry... couldn't resist.

On topic, though, there is no way in Heaven or Hades that toy guns will be banned from stores--at least here in the US, simply because it would be illegal for them to do so. I don't know about the laws in other areas of the world, so I can't say for them.

[EDITED]

Now if the buyer of the gun were to remove the orange tip from the toy gun, then it would be illegal and the fault would go solely to the buyer. There are examples of people being shot because they threatened others with toy guns that didn't have the orange cap.

I don't care if it's hard to tell if it has an orange tip when a car is just driving by--a cop shouldn't be shooting at a moving vehicle unless he's been shot at first and has reason to shoot back (i.e., it won't harm anyone else)--most cops know this.

As for TV and video games--if the child is raised by them, sure, some violence might creep into their personalities, but if they don't have any mental disabilities that keep them from separating fictional worlds from the actual world, I don't see the violence being much worse than someone without TV and video games.

[NOTE: I edited out the political jargon.]
