I don't understand how most dvds are dual layer, I have a dual layer burner, I can buy dual layer discs, but I can't figure out how to get dvd shrink to burn dual layer so I can have higher quality. I have been using dvd shrink for about 5 years and can't figure it out. Can dvd shrink burn dual layer? Is there a different software I can use that would?

If you have been using dvd shrink for 5 years, then you should know it is not a burning program, but a transcoder and rudamentary ripper. You need a burning program such as imgburn to burn your finished product.

That makes sense. My dvd shrink automatically burns using Nero. How would I go about it to use a different software?

OK. I am having trouble trying to manage all three programs to get one movie. Does any one have some advice on what I need to do to use DVD Fab, then DVD Shrink, then IMG Burn. I just can't figure out what to do . I have only ever used dvd shrink (which automatically used Nero) and I am unfamiliar with dvd fab and img burn. I guess what I am looking for is someone to hold my hand through the whole thing. but I guess I could learn the whole thing program by program with the guides to them. I am so lost.
Thanks again everyone

dougrempe---Garmoon and everyone has given you good help, but havent specifically said theres no need to even use DVD Shrink if wanting a full DL disc made. If you are keeping it full, why shrink? Please look again at garmoons guides and their pictures, specifically the one that says
Quote: Creating a double layer ISO on your hard drive using ImgBurn
http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1777
and
Quote: Burning DVD Video files directly to double layer media with ImgBurn
http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1780
All these guides assume you already know how to get a movie on your hard drive (not using dvd shrink, it doesnt work on many movies any more by itself. Thats DVD fabs job!)
Use DVD fab to get the complete file on your machine, ignore DVD shrink unless you want to shrink it to a single layer disc, then use the guides for IMGburn.
If there are any problems please post back for all of us to help.
