Drives are not region coded. Only the Wii itself. So your Wii is still NTSC/U.

ok i have a ntsc wii, but i swapped dvd drives and i found out the one i installed says japan on the bottom panasonic chip (the one where you put the wiiclip on) so when i burn games should i worry if my wii is japan NOW or it is still considered an ntsc wii and i wont have to be worried about the game compatibility?
