I searched the forums on FCP 4, which is ultimately where I'm going with this, but I don't know what other keywords wouldn't have turned up dozens of results, so I'm asking.

I've used DVDBackup 1.3 to extract the VOB files to my hard drive. Now I need a way to demux the audio and video, then convert the video to something Quicktime can understand. ac3 audio can be converted by iTunes to AIFF and I should be able to export anything Quicktime can read into an mov file, which is Final Cut's media format.

I tried to do this with OSEx, but I wound up having the Finder crash when I tried to see what was in the folder.

I'm running OS 10.3.2 on a G5 1.6 with plenty of RAM and storage space.
