My PSP has the DAlex 3.71 m33-4 firmware, and pops loader and all the pops plugins from 3 to 3.72 ( i think). My FFVII game is the UK SCES 00867, i ripped the discs and converted it with ice tea, on disc 1 i have had no problems until temple of the ancients, after the temple comes down in black smoke and cloud runs towards it my psp screen goes blank, you can still here the sound of the temple when it crashes, it stays like that for a minute or so, i cant do anything at this point then my psp switches off. I tried all my pops plugins same thing happens.

Slim Black PSP2003 UK Version

Is anyone familiar with this problem?

If i update to 4.01 or higher than 3.71 can i downgrade back to 3.71 if my games don't work (metal gear solid, spyro's, kula world, chrono trigger).

The disc was like brand new no marks or scratches but i did have problems when i tried converting with anything other than ice tea, the eboots would always show as corrupt in my psp game menu. But this is the first time i could successfully boot a psx game and play it. I set the compression to 5 so i should do it again with less compression.

I tried it with no compression and then max compression, it still crashes at the same point and switches off.
I just scanned the .bin image with IsoBuster and it found this as a file found via signature -

Recovered File 1.gz

Address: 17,692
Size (Blocks): 100,367
Size (Bytes):200,551,616
Type: File

I take it i done a bad rip?
