Hiya, im using DVDShrink to cut out segments of an ISO by reauthoring.

When im watching the ISO in the bottom left hand side of DVDShrink, i pause where i want to put my "start" point, then click on the "start/end" tab and then scroll across until the picture matches up with where i was watching, i do the same for the end.

This can be very frustrating as sometimes the picture looks pretty much the same at many points. There must be someway of pausing where i am watching, then making that the start point? (without going intto start/end and scrolling across?)

I ask because when you are watching in the bottom left it doesnt say what time or frame you are at so the only way to find the start/end point is by going with the picture/position on the screen

Im sure there must be some keyboard control to pause, then make that place where it is paused the start or end?

Thanks in advance for any help

That's the only way.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Damn :(

Hopefully when a new version comes out it will have at least a time marker to show what time you are at when previewing...

Thanks anyway

There hasn't been a "new version" in years, and most likely never will.....

Is Nero recode freeware?
I take it you suggest it because its a good editor?
Would it be able to import my ISO/VOB's etc...?
Then cut them up & save as ISO/VOB?

I read about Recode & it sounds good as i would be nice to be able to output to DVD files & also output to ipod. Those are the two main things i need to do with these "segments", to have ipod & also have the segment for future DVD compilations...

Really appreciate the help, DVDShrink has been okay for me to extract the segements i want but i waste so much time doing it by matching up the pictures...
