I backed up Super Mario Galaxy and used Brickblocker to patch the .iso. When I loaded it in my friends wii, which is at 3.3 firmware, it played without asking for an update. I loaded the same disc into another wii, at 3.2 firmware, and it demanded a wii update. I hit OK, since I knew it would not go to 3.3. After a few minutes, the game showed up and played fine. Not sure what happened since the wii is still at 3.2? And I thought the update was removed since I used Brickblocker. Can someone explain this. (Both with D2Pro9 chip at 1.4 rev) Thanks! Does this have to do with the actual SMG game and not the firmware upgrade on (or in my case, not on)the disc?

Some games require the update to play the games. For example SSBB update is need so the wii can read dual layer discs. And 3.2 Wii Shop update so you can play WIIWARE games.
