I've fitted a wiininja with a wiilip and its always worked fine when playing back up discs.

Recently I thought about playing direct from a SD card - I'm sure I read it somewhere that you could - but when I put an 8gb SD card in my Wii it stated that it was not recognised.

Any ideas?

You should have read up before buying, unless you already had the 8 gig card of course.

Anyway, the Wii won't recognize anything over 2GB.
