Had trial period to use DVD Fab Platinum. Tried to back up Nip/Tuck by spliting the first disk and burning to 2 DVD +R instead of using 1 dual layer DVD. The ripping and burn went fine. When I went to play them back in my DVD player they would not play. Got error message of unsupported format. Has anyone else attempted to do this with any success.

If your stand-alone player is very old it may not support +R disks. Also be sure you are using quality media such as Taiyo Yuden.

Did you use the VSO burning engine in DvdFab or did you output to a different burn engine?

What speed did you burn at?

Make sure to use good quality blank media as ferguj1 suggested. Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim; and if using +R's be sure to booktype to Dvd-Rom for best compatibility.
