All,

I have a LIVE-concert-DVD, and I would like to rip the audio (2 songs) to create 2 MP3's from it.

So: I used both SmartRipper and DVD-decrypter to 'demux' it to an AC3-file ... with Nero6 the sound sounds perfect! Then I tried several AC3-> MP3-decoders and I THEN found out that the sound is too loud: I have to regain the MP3's by ~ -11dB !!

So someone (tigre-moderator) adviced me to use the foo_bar ... using this tool I found that the AC3-file is the problem!! Nero6 regains the MP3 and AC3 automatically, that's why I thought the AC3 was OK).

I have to regain the AC3 file with ~ -11dB to make song sound nice ... if not, my ears hurt ;-(
No I don't mind to regain it, but (I think) I'm loosing information in doing this, am I?
And: I guess it should be possible to do this in 1 step, in the correct way?

Anyone any clues????
