i have my video recorder connected to my pc.
So now i can transfer my old video's to my pc.
The old video's became rather large mpeg files,
like 1,33 GB for 36 minutes.
Now i've downloaded TMPGEnc to encoded the file to *.mv2
then i encoded the mv2 file to dvd files (*.vob etc) with TMPGEnc dvd director
and made a video dvd with nero and dragged the files to the Video_TS dir.
Its works, but the Video_TS is 2,5 GB, thats a little bit large for 36 minutes of film, aint it.

Now my question is should i encode the large mpeg to xvid first? or is there an 'simple :)' way do reduce the file size?

Please advice.
