I have Nero 8 installed and DVDShrink but the burnt dvd will not play back. What and how do i configure the programs to play the dvd back?

Nero 8 does not work with shrink, that is your problem. Instead try this (now this works and no more coasters)

iluvendo is steering you right. Use Dvd Shrink and Imgburn, just follow the steps in the link he gave you.
