Not sure this is right forum, it is a mod of sorts.......

Anyway, i have bought a sony 290 gps unit, i have GO! Explore software installed and seems to be fine. When i plug in the GPS unit, i do not think the PSP recognises it as the Go! Explore never moves.

Are there any menu changes or something i could tell with?? Any ideas?

It takes a while for the gps unit to locate itself, about 5 mins. Seems a bit quicker on the slim but not by much.

It seems that my is not responding at all even after 5 minutes.I tried Go!Explore, HomeStar and MapThis which suppose to detect the GPS reciever. What firmware are you on? I'm using 4.01 M33-2,wondering if that makes a difference.

I have used GOexplore, on 3.90, 4.01 both worked fine.

It takes a while and i have noticed it works better while moving.

In Settings you can select GPS to see how many satellites it is picking up
