hey i've been asking around and i really have no idea how come when i transfer the iso over onto my psp the cyclic redundancy check error pops up this only happens to files which are generally bigger. For some strange reason if the file is below 300mb the file is able to be transferred into my psp. I'm not using a fake MS and it just happened today. Can anybody help please? Thanks..

have you formated it on your psp. it may be that on the computer you are formating it to the wrong block size causing it to not read and write large files

if you do it on the psp then it should format to the correct block size

if that doesnt work the memory card has be come faulty and i would send it back to sony (had a simalar problem with a mmc 2gb with files over 5mb but it was faulty to begin with)

cyclic redundancy check
cyclic redundancy check is usually a false flag in windows, if the redundancy check is correct then you have a bad sector on your hard drive
or the file itself is corrupt which doesn't seem to be the case

run the windows error-checking tool to see if its actually the hard drive or windows is just giving a false flag:P

start>mycomputer>hard drive C:>right click> properties>tools> error checking

try doing the file transfer from an external drive to see if you still get the error!

best of luck!

right for the memory card do the same thing as tripplite said but do it on your memory stick and not on the c drive

as for your flash0 problem dont defrag it there is no need and any ways every time you update it should defrag anyway also you'll find you will only gain a couple of bytes if you do defrag it so theres really no point, defraging was made mainly for reorganising large amounts of random access data (maily on hdd)

just copy the backed up dic folder to where you deleted it

omfg

right 1) DONT FORMAT THE MEMORY STICK ON THE PC try it on the psp because if you do it on the psp then it will set it to the correct format and block size

2) DONT FORMAT THE FLASH0 if you format it to the incorrect block size it may not allow data to be run leave it as it is

3) YOU DONT NEED TO DEFRAG THE FLASH0 the flash0 on a fat is 32mb and on a slim its 64mb its so pointless to defrag memory that size it will likely not recover any memory and windows only does it when 11% is free and on a fat that wont be true

right its likely that the memory stick is broken if it wont work being formated on the psp

have you properly checked that its not fake by clicking triangle on the memory card icon and going to information then seing if it say magic gate supported or unknown

if unkonown then its fake (nothing you can do)

if its supported then make sure its <2 years old if so send it back to the maker (phone them first)

look just format the card phone sony or scandisk or how ever the maker is tell the the problem and when you bought it and then send it to them, you dont need to tell them what you use it for.

apart from that just keep try formating it on the pc at different block sizes and also defrag it and check for errors

@ driver lol man you have patience with these guys :D

cyclic redundancy errors are due to the original source, not the source its being moved to:P

have you tried doing the transfer on a different computer or different drive yet>>???

use swiss knife to format the memory stick
(to FAT32)
if you still get the error on a different computer after the format then yeah try and get a new card
