Recently I received an error while loading hdloader. It said my HD needs to be reformatted, I don't know why I got that message so I just accepted it. After that I went to use winhiip to reinstall the games and winhiip told me there were some errors on the HD but that were fixable. After I hit yes winhiip crashed.
I would like to know what is the proper way to format a HD to install my games again I dont' remember how I did it the first time

That's my question is how to format the HD under what options? 28bit 48bit toxic os... I need to be refer to a guide I think.
Well, we're both suggesting you let windows reformat the drive first. Follow the guide I posted. Then, if your drive is above 128 GB, Winhiip should suggest the 48-bit. Other than that, try to full format in Winhiip once windows finishes formatting it. If it still doesn't work, you may want to get a drive testing utility to see if there is hardware damage of any kind.

I formatted the HD to ntfs then went to format the HD with winhiip in quick mode using the application 28bit and it works just fine now but I would like to know what are the other applications for is it more compatibility, speed?
