First of all i know there is a thread that probably has the answer to my problem but i couldn't be bothered to look through all 128 pages, also search turned up some solutions and info on why it doesn't work but they didn't work they are mentioned below

So here is my problem:
i burnt the backup of ssbb and ran it, the game got to just after the Nintendo warning about having the wrist strap secured and the game froze so reset it and tried it again and i got error #001, unauthorised device etc.

I have the LAH1016 wii key and my wii is a pal updated to 3.3e
so far i have tried updating the firmware i tried 1.9s,1.9b and 1.9g
all of which gave me the same error #001,
i burnt the iso using imgburn on a verbatim dvd-r dl at 2.4x, i checked the iso file size and it is the correct amount of bytes also it is a pal iso. for the original to work i had to update the firmware to 1.9s so if anyone has a solution or a link to the page with it on i would greatly appreciate it
