little metal plate?

i opened up my ps2 (v12 i believe) and theres a small metal plate with a hole in the middle of it. it fell out when i flipped it to drop screws. where does it go?

it goes on the left side of the ps2. if the ps2 slim was standing up it required a base, sony's older base were a heavy metal/plastic circle with a screw it screws into the bottom of the ps2 and the metal plate is the screw threads
