i decided i would mod my 360 to read backup here is the things i belive i need so far if i need anything else please tell me and i might need to ask u a few general questions because i am kind of new to this if you couldnt tell

a Pioneer DVR 112D to burn the backups
a Samsung SH-D162D disc drive
a Via 6421a pci card to help flash the drive

Some of the programs:iPrep,xdvdmulleter,and Imgburn

A usb bootable flash drive or floppy disks and a floppy drive
If you have a Hitachi dvd rom then you'll need a Slax disk to put it in Mode B
A good length sata cable to connect from your card to the dvd drive.
Croc clips or wire to connect the comp frame to the xbox chassis.

thank you for your input could u tell me why i would need those im just curious i really have no idea how to do this i have read some tutorials but im still a noob also am i going to be using the drive i have that came in my xbox if so why do i need the samsung drive thank you

The Samsung SH-D162D disc drive you mentioned is used to "backup" your original games.

You don't need that Samsung drive to flash your benQ dvd drive.

As far as the tut's your reading to flash with the one I use is the
Textbook 2008 I posted a link if you don't have it already.
