I have a PSP with CFW 3.71 whatever 4 right?
i downloaded UMD EMULATOR, extracted it and placed the two folders(UMD EMULATOR AND UMD EMULATOR%) in the PSP/GAME folder on my PSP. I then sent the UMD Emulator to the main PSP drive (MY COMPUTER/PSP) and placed my ISO game in the ISO folder on the PSP correctly but when i switch the PSP on, i only see that everything is a Currupted file.
I switched my psp on and held the R button to get into the menu and then changed the game folder homebrew from 3.71 to 1.50. but i still have the same problem. can anybody save me? am dieing here fellas. Pllllllleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssssseeeeeeee

you dont need a emulator you have iso loaders built into cfw.
to run a iso just make a folder called iso in the root of the memory stick and then put any iso files in there.
e.g X:/iso/isoandcsohere.iso where x is the psp drive

you dont need UMDemulator for ISO's to work as compatability for them has benn around for YONKS. if you are using it to play an iso with higher FW than u already have then update to 4.01m33-2 you lagger!

nope you've gone to far go back a dir (step) and then it will be something like gow.iso copy that to the iso folder
and its X:/iso/ not X:/psp/iso/

Did. It just aint working. do i have ot extract the god of war.ISO with winrar and copy what i get into the ISO folder on the memory card or do i just copy the god of war.ISO straight into the ISO folder on the memory card without extracting it? but ofcourse then it wouldn't be UMD anymore right?
i did the first step though.

No p. I dont see what you are talking about. when i open the Godofwar.iso with winrar, i only see a file and a folder as i said above. no image file because its a UMD file which has been compressed into ISO. i in particular have absolutely no experience with UMD files.
stupid aint it?
PS. i just happend to be a first year application developer too. :)

you have to use UMDgen to convert these into an iso image (or a cso image) as you have, at the mo, you have a PSP_GAME folder and a UMD_DATA.bin and those are the contents of an iso. download UMDgen v4 and put both of those things in and select save uncompressed.

right a iso doesnt have to be umd it can be and disc be it cd dvd umd
its not been commpressed though its just a vertual image on the disc
(just though id let you know if your doing apps development its a good thing to know) a cso is a compressed UMD iso (UMD only)
now you need to copy the .iso file to the iso folder so you should have
X:/iso/god of war.iso
then go to game on the memory stick and it should be there

so you mean because of my custom fw 3.71, i dont have to do anything else or need any other software than just copy and paste the .ISO and .CSO files into the ISO folder in the PSP? if so, do i just put them straight into the ISO folder or create a new folder and write the name of the game inside the ISO folder on the PSP before i put the game in there?
and what if the ISO game is really an ISO but looks like a rar file.
i mean do they have special looks?

yep thats right just put the .iso file into the iso folder no need to make folders in there for the game just put the .iso in there and it will show up
the reason why winrar can open a iso is because winrar is a app that can open archived files so that means .zip .rar .7z anything that is archived doesnt matter if its compressed or not (cant open .cso though because its a psp special compression file format)
hope that helps
