I've been trying to install my wiikey clip onto my wii after disassembling all the parts, and after i clipped it on, i tested my wii. It loaded fine with my wii sports, but I tried to put in a new disc but when i rpessed eject, it said something about there is somethig wrong with the wii please turn off the power and restart. I did that a couple times and i couldnt get my wii to work so i tried taking out the wiiclip. When i took out the wii clip i looked at it and saw that one of the wires was bent so i bent it back up and then i put it back on my wii. This time when i loaded it, it didn't go to the wii menu at all. The screen just stayed black and and the disc ran but no menu showed up. I took out my wiikey again and testd it but it still had no signal. The remotes don't work and after turning it on, the power button doesn't work either but the eject button works and the disc spins while its in the drive.
Nope, when I turn on the wii it shows no video or audio. The disc spins and I can eject, but if I want to power off the Wii i have to puoll the plug out because the power button doesn't work. I think there may be something wrong with the chip because two of the legs look bent and touching.
i too have had trouble with the wiikey- version 3. upon clipping onto the wii's circuit board, connect it all up to the television.
wii disc error, eject etc! i pulled out the wii-clip only to discover that it had snapped off 3 of the solders from the main board.
it appears i am fully screwed over
Now i have no idea what i should do. $400+ down the drain so to speak.
has anyone else out there had a similar problem. (Clipping on the wii clip resulting in it bending or snapping off the wires to the wii's circuit board)?
im telling you i was gentle as a kitten with it too :-[

How about soldering the wires back on the board? :)
