I have a problem with this program. The program finished reading the movie without any problem, but when it comes to burning the disk. It can't finish it. Sometimes at 35% the other time at 40% of completion, it says finalizing please wait. Then the message says "error writing disk." I have tried several movies from "Finding Nemo", "Bad boy II", "Beauty and the Beast." with Verbatim DVD+R, +RW, Memorex +R, +RW. Nothing works. This is the only program on my computer. I have reformatted the hard drive. Installed a full version of Xcopy Express 3.2.1. Download TDF file for Finding Nemo, ASPI, WINDOW 2000 SERVICE PAK4, .

Here what I have in my computer.

P4 2.5, 512 MB
Western Digital Hard Driver 120GB
Plextor px-708a
and DVD Xcopy EXpress 3.2.1

I have contacted their tech several times. And follow their recommendations from reformatted hard drive, updated firmwave, download a lot of files, but nothing solved the problem. Can anyone tell me what'wrong?

I had a similar problem, but mine would always get to 90% and crash.. i even tried to burn without menu options and i got the same result. What i did to correct this problem was remove DVD X copy, and install an older version of the program. I installed DVD X COPY GOLD v3.0.1 and i have been burnin fine ever since.. hope this helps.

Try burning the ripped files with something like Nero.
I do and it works every time.

kevanu, The X Copy people probably said this, if not here is some other things. Stop any programs running at startup in backgroung like anti-virus software. Remove any packet writing software(Nero INCD, Roxio Drag to disc or Direct cd, Recordnow DLA.) These all play games with X copy Express. Just for the record, Disney movies seem to be a problem even for programs like DVDshrink. If you are doing full disc, try movie only on these. Hope this helped.

thank you everyone for the info. the only reason I like the xcopy express because I don't have to press any button once I put the disc inside the player. I make all this copy just to play them in the van. All my kids are still babies, they don't know how to use the remote control yet. And I always travel with them alone. Without stopping the car, I have no idea when to press the button for play since the original dvd always starts with commercial movies first. I will try Nero. Regarding other programs during the start up such as anti-virus, right now the xcopy express is the only program in my computer. I don't have anything else beside windows 2000 and xcopy express.

xcopy express does not work with certain disney movies. I don't know why. I had this problem originally and was always unable to do "Beauty and the Beast". In addition I had compatibility issues with my player in my car. The discs would work on my computer but not in my car (honda pilot with probable panasonic player). sometimes to get past the xcopy screen, i would have to hit certain combinations for the ones that would work.

I found this site while trying to get assistance with my xcopy issues and learned about shrink and have not touched the xcopy since. I tried nero to burn but was unsuccessful and recordnow max (not dx) has worked great for me. I have car copies of all my movies.

You can reauthor with dvd shrink and do the movie only (no extras) and do not have to do any button pushing for the movie. It is great because the disney movies have those long animations for the introductory menu and you can push any buttons until the animation is done anyways.

Thank you,Yuedana. I just have a change to try DVD Shrink this weekend. It works beautifully with a little learning curve. I have burned a few disney movies and some other movies and there are no problems. That DVD X copy express is really something. No only I can't get it to work, their tech also can't get it work either. I probably spend 6 hours talking to maybe 4 or 5 tech from 321 studio. I think their guess as good as my guess. Luckily I found this website. No more,DVD X copy. thank again Yuedana!
