i'm trying to connect my ps3 from my wireless laptop. i'm using an ethernet cable to connect them. If i bridge my connections then i get an ip address and i get a dns error. If i don't bridge a connection the ps3 won't pick up an ip address at all. Any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bridging connections won't help you here. You'll either need to configure internet connection sharing or download a proxy application and set that up. On your PS3 network settings you'll need to set up your laptop as the proxy. As for connecting them through an ethernet cable, unless it's a crossover cable, it's impossible.

hey thanks for the help i've tried internet connection sharing and that doesn't work do you know what is the best proxy application to download and set up or should i just buy a router and make all my problems go away what do you use.
