I don`t think that is what Assassin3 was implying. I hope and think Assassin3 means to play role playing games. As in Dungeons and Dragons, White wolf, Rifts, Star wars ete. I play all the above listed and I a wrote one base on The Prisoner. I have never played on line, but have suggested it to my friends as we are now all live in different cities. Are you suggesting a game? Could be fun.

I guess I never figured in honesty :) I get stuck playing that yu gi yo card game with my 8 yr old nephew and the little punk loads his deck with all the powerful cards and gives me a bunch of crap cards. I gotta keep my eyes on him because he tries to start the game with twice as many cards as me and keeps trying to sneak the cards I killed back into his deck.

Is there a Moderator to clean up Darthnips comments out there? Oh wait Darthnip is a Mod, oh well bondage and wips for all.

Nephilim, I hope your not talking about Magic. I hate magic. There is no roleplaying in Magic, only for rich kids that can buy expensive cards. Should just play Pog's if you like Magic.

No, it's not Magic :)

It's "Yu Gi Yo" or "Yu Gi Oh" or something to that effect. The cards have all kinds of weirdo monsters with attack points and defense points as well as special cards that work with certain monsters and such.

I'm not sure if I truly know how to play it because my nephew likes to change the rules at will when it's to his benefit like when I'm about to kill his blue eyed white dragon which is his favorite.

i've never played any of those newer type of "card" games like that. I guess i just dont see the fun in fighting with cards, maybe I'm just too old or something. Gimmme the old school football game that vibrated, now that was a game :)

darthnip, talking about old games have you seen this?

http://treyonics.com/

Imagine all the old favorites like
Tempest and Centipede with this thing! Sounds like it's built like a tank. One review I read said the spinner ball so so smooth that they spun it, went to get a coke, came back, opened the coke, started a game and the ball was still spinning. That's slick!

At $400 for the unit it better be smooth. For that much I can buy an old arcade game or go to the dump and get one. Rip the control console out and make my own. But it wouldn't be smooth.

Yeah, that's the only catch :( 400 bones is a lot. It would go nicely with a 42" plasma screen tho!

I figured out what the deal is with role-playing. Yesterday my little neice was showing me a LOTR website that had a role-playing section where you pick a character from the movie, while others do the same, and everyone takes turns typing what their character does and building various scenarios then the people after you build on what you've written. Kinda cool but I don't think I'll be partaking in it any time soon.

So at long last, Assassin3, you have one answer to your question: personally not really but it does sound cool.

Nephilim, you mean there is a website out there, where people ask questions, build on what is said and continue to ask questions and talk about stuff :P

Not quite roleplaying here, Life sometimes is more fun than fantacy, but not always.

I'm an absolute believer that real life is way more bizarre and twisted than fantasy. The only things I watch on the telly are history channel, discovery and tech tv. I get such a kick out of this "realty" tv craze. I've only watched the commercials and can tell it's all totally scripted. Prime time = mental retardation methinks.

I like it here, I can play myself off as somebody who thinks he knows how to use a burner ;)
