Some DVD players will play the AVI file itself - without any
conversion. Can yours do that ? If it can, the method is to write
the file to the DVD as data.
First of all find out if your machine will play DivX/Xvid
directly. That will (usually) give the best quality.
Otherwise, you'll have to convert to a proper mpeg-2DVD.
Purchase some DVD-RW's while you're experimenting, that way
you wont waste any disks, since they're reusable.
I have a similar question,I download tv shows from torrents & most of the individual episodes are in .AVI or .Mpg,& each episode averages 300 & something Megabyte, but when I use NeroVision express or Cyberlink power Director to burn the files to DVD I can only get 2 episodes to a disc & maybe 3 in Long Play but the quality is rubbish then. How can I burn more episodes to a disc & still have high quality? Because when you buy a DVD of a TV show you get more than 2 episodes on it,so what format do I have to convert the .AVI's or .MPG files to achieve this, any help much appreciated!!
