This is a guide to run 1.50 kernel homebrew on the Slim. Since the slim doesn't have the 1.50 kernel, two applications are made for running 1.50 homebrew. These applications will also work on the original PSP (FAT). The name of these applications are called Time Machine and eLoader v1.000
If you have a FAT, and you want to play 1.50 kernel homebrew. You don't need to install any of these. You can install the 1.50 addon for your firmware.
TimeMachine : by Dark Alex
Time Machine, is an application to load previous firmware from the memory stick with a Pandora Battery. Now with the latest version v0.1, you can load 1.5, 3.40OE, and 3.60M33, etc, onto your PSP. The entire installation takes up around 210~220MB of space, so 128MB sticks are not enough.
Requirements:
*A Memory Stick Pro Duo with at least 256MB of capacity (512MB/1GB Recommended)
*A homebrew compatible PSP with at least 2.71SE (M33 Series Recommended)
*A Pandora Battery
I'm not a expert at this applications. Therefore, I'm give a link for a better guide. This guide is thanks to blakey87 in the pspslimhomebrew forums.
Guide For TimeMachine
eLoader v1.000 : by Noobz
eLoader is a easy to install application. However, not all homebrew works and it can't run kernel-mode applications such as devhook.
Requirements :
1. A Custom Firmware PSP
2.eLoader v1.000
Mirror
Steps:
1. Download the eloader app from the link above. Extract into your desktop. Put the eLoader into the GAME folder.
2. Usually 1.50 kernel homebrew come in two folders, for example ( homebrew and homebrew%). Place these two folders into the GAME folder ( Not inside the eLoader folder). If there is one put it in the GAME folder. If it doesn't work, then it is not a 1.50 kernel homebrew
3. Turn on the PSP and click on the eLoader. This will give you the eMenu. Select your game and have fun :)
Controls for eMenu
* Triangle will turn on USB mode.
* Square will take a screenshot of the menu.
* The L and R shoulder buttons change the PSP's clock speed.
* SELECT will show usage instructions, and rescan the memory stick for new homebrew.
* START will exit the menu.
* HOLD will put the PSP into 'slumber mode' - the clock speed is set to minimum, and the screen is blanked. You can get further power saving by holding the 'SCREEN' button to turn off the screen, before engaging 'HOLD'.

FAQ:
Q: What is Custom Firmware ? I have firmware 2.80, 3.03, 3.50, 4.01 ...etc
A: If you don't know it is. Then start a new thread about this. This thread is not a discussion of firmware. Go to the Mod and Firmware section.
Q: Can I ask questions about TimeMachine
A: Yes, but I may not have the answer. Let's wish someone in this forum that does.
Q: What is 1.50 kernal homebrew exactly ?
A: When the PSP first came out, people could start playing homebrew applications and games on their 1.5 firmware. So, if you want to play some old homebrew then you need the 1.50 kernal. Most newer homebrew have been updated to 3.XX kernal.
Q: How Do I insatll the 1.50 kernal for the FAT psp ?
A: Use google or start a new thread
