Should not make any difference, except maybe in regards to advanced features such as booktype, best way to know is try it and see.

Imgburn will not be able to booktype your Pioneer. Except for that, Imgburn will work on your Pioneer

I think you have bigger issues if your Pioneer drive isn't listed in Imgburn. Is it shown in my computer? If it isn't listed in Imgburn how are you supposed to select that drive for burning?

Place a blank disc in your drive and open Imgburn in Write mode and copy/paste the information from the right information window here.

If it sees other drives then it may require a little help. I have seen it only see the drive allocated to "master" when running on IDE with the CS jumper setting. Something to do with the windows drive allocation.
