I've read in this forum how to ad subtitles to vcd.

Step 1 : rip the DVD with SmartRipper
Step 2 : create a .d2v with DVD2AVI
Step 3 : Open VFAPI, and create a pseudo avi file
Step 4 : install Frame server on VirtualDub and open pseudo avi
Step 5 OPen VobSub filter and index it
Step 6 : tart a frameserver from VirtualDub (it creates an another pseudo-AVI, small file as well) and leave it running
Step 7 : Open the another pseudo avi with TMPGEnc and encode it.

I don't understand from step 6.

When i star frame server it said :
Frameserver name : moviename_d2v-vfapi.avi
Non-A/V requests : 0
Number of frames served : 0
Audio segment delivered : 0
FrameClients installed : AVIFile only

Stop serving (button)

If I open the avi file with TMPGEnc, it said :
file can not open or unsupported

Please help

PS I'm french, speak slowly

PS2 : I have read tha FAQ, and i've try every thing. I will now try tha last chance tip and reboot my computer, but i'm not optimistic...

I am having the same problem. I have followed the guide: VirtualDub to TMPGEnc frameserving FAQ and it does not help.

Any suggestions?

bepimago: What version of TMPGENC you started using to get subtitles to work?
