GC + DuoQ Problem (DOL-001)

I just received a gc from a friend, apperantly it worked very fine for the last two months with duoQ installed, it's a DOL-001 revision A. One day the console started to show Error reading problems and even worst and know it only plays Original games (Sometimes error msgs).

I dissambled it thinking on "ok, i just have to ajust the pot and it would work fine", but it doesn't seem to work, it only plays Originals with no problems but i cannot run any backup on it.
Any idea?
