Video files from Mac to PS3/Xbox360?

I am not sure this is the correct forum but I have downloaded mediaconnect and connect360 in hopes I could stream pictures/movies and music to my PS3/Xbox360.

Pictures/music seem to be fine.

How do I get xvid, mpeg files etc streaming from my MAC to gaming consoles.

Do I have to convert the files and put them in itunes first? If so, this program isn't very efficient.

Try Twonkyvision. I think that is compatible with mac.

Have you tried this? How in the world do I know if its functioning/running? I don't see any icons to indicate.
